WINCHESTER — Jaqui Rice sang her way into the hearts of a city Friday as she was crowned queen of the 81st Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival during the traditional show of pomp and pageantry.
Rice, daughter of retired NFL wide receiver Jerry Rice, smiled as her father and mother, acting as ministers of the crown, placed the crown of sparkling apple blossoms on her head as the audience erupted in applause.
