Jerry Rice, the NFLs all-time receiving leader, is one of 15 celebrities teeing it up at this year’s Lake Tahoe Celebrity-Am, Tuesday, July 8, at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course. The kick-off event to the American Century Championship.
Joining Rice are former NFL players Billy Joe Tolliver, Lynn Swann, Sterling Sharpe, Steve Bartkowski, Mark Rypien, Jim McMahon and Neil Lomax; past MLB players Vince Coleman, Kenny Lofton and Bret Saberhagen; former NHL all-star Brett Hull; NFL head coach Dick Jauron; and actor Alfonso Ribeiro and Olympic Golf Medal Winner Brandi Chastain.
Fans can get up close and personal with the stars at this Celebrity Golf Week Kick-off. In the shamble format, every player hits a tee shot and from the point of the best drive, each finishes the hole. Players receive 60 percent of their handicap with top finishers will receive golf merchandise prizes.
